GOLDRAT RIVER SLUICING: A HISTORY

The initial days of resource mining in the River were defined by a distinctive method known as sluicing. Evolving from the demand to extract coveted minerals from the densely packed riverbeds, sluicing became as a widespread practice. Astute miners would build elaborate sluice boxes, meticulously directing the river water to wash away the excess
